Ricardo González Sotres studied at the hospitality school in Llanes. For four years he worked besides chef Nacho Manzano at Casa Marcial. Afterwards he spent time at Ca Sento and Las Rejas. After these experiences he decided to return to Asturias and take the reins of the family business, El Retiro en Pancar (Llanes), which he elevated to the heights of a Michelin Star in 2014.
His cuisine is a mix of tradition and modernity, but always giving priority to local produce and his Asturian roots. Sotres is pure intuition and nature, which is reflected in a thoughtful, serene cuisine.
