The Rural Development Association “Mariñas – Betanzos” has the aim of placing value on the territory (the town councils of Abegondo, Aranga, Arteixo, Bergondo, Betanzos, Cambre, Carral, Coirós, Curtis, Culleredo, Miño, Irixoa, Oleiros, Oza-Cesuras, Paderne, Sada and Sobrado), making an impact by improving the quality of life of the local population by placing value on natural and cultural heritage and by encouraging social cohesion.

Oleiros is where, in 2010, archaeologist Nuria Calo founded As Camposeiras, a brand of traditional preserves made from fruit and vegetables that she herself has grown. Traditional flavours, such as strawberry, apple and pear, sit alongside more exotic ones such as courgette and vanilla, orange with coffee and rapini.

The fruit and vegetables used for the preserves is a result of the exploitation and trustworthy producers from the Mariñas Coruñesas e Terras do Mandeo Biosphere reserve, through which quality is ensured, from the field through to packaging. At the workshop these are converted into preserves ready to be enjoyed.

With her preserves she wants people to go back to their childhood through food based on carefully made, high quality artisan produce.
