Javier Freijeiro has been dedicated to the kitchen for more than 15 years. He gained experience in restaurants in the Balearic Islands, Valencia and the Basque Country, becoming part of the team at Mirador de Ulía (San Sebastián), which has a Michelin Star. After this period, he decided to return to A Coruña and face up to the challenge of directing various kitchens at the same time and giving them a common style, as the gastronomic director of the Grupo El Huerto.
His philosophy is to commit to the flavours of the Galician sea and the raw, local ingredients adapted to the A Coruña tradition of sharing gastronomy with friends and enjoying the atmosphere.
He is currently working with Moncho Bargo to soon open the “thug kitchen” restaurant ‘Pracer’. Together they will carry out a cooking demonstration at SAL A Coruña Atlantic Flavours Festival.
